I’ve been using a stethoscope for nearly forty years, and am convinced you don’t have to buy an expensive one to adequately hear blood flow, lung sounds or valve abnormalities. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this particular stethoscope. I find the ear tubes poorly align with ears, and that impedes better hearing quality. The earpieces are also not very soft, and interchangeable options are very limited. After wearing these a while, my ears get very sore. The tubing is different than any other I’ve seen before--I do wonder if it is latex-free. There are other affordable stethoscopes out there (like Omron) which are more comfortable, have more options and offer better hearing quality.
