Got this for my 11 year old son to try. He is a Mario fan and sometimes enjoys crafting. I figured it would be something to keep him busy on a lazy day or a rainy day. We've already made fusible beads that require heat to fuse together and I thought it would be interesting for him to try and there is less risk of injury from there. no heat. The kit comes with everything you need to create Mario characters, but after looking at the others it seems some of them also come with a bead appliqué pen and a bead scraper to lift them up. While they would probably be useful, I think the kit is fine without them. Children can place beads by hand quite well as it doesn't require much skill or precision. A scraper would probably be more useful as it can be difficult to pry them off the sheet if you need to turn them over. I suspect this is a common problem for Aquabusses in general. We just slipped a butter knife under them to clean them. The end result is pretty cute and you can use them as wall decorations, attach them to key chains or zippers, stick them to non-books or other items. For my son it was a fun way to while away an hour or so and he was happy to be kept busy rather than just sitting and watching TV during that time.
