The purchase did not justify itself at all.

In general, I read reviews and either some (like me) are "lucky" with this power supply, or I'm too picky about the sound. The unit works in passive mode out of the box, but at the slightest load it starts the cooling cooler and the main complaint about the latter is that it is loud. The cooler starts up absolutely at a random moment, even if you sit and look at pictures on the Internet, it can pass out during the game, where it would seem that the load should be, in general, the moment is absolutely random and if it weren’t for the guarantee, I would have broken the seals and changed the cooler to a less quiet one. There is a toggle button called Smart-Zero Fan. If it is enabled, then the PSU works as described above, if it is disabled, then the cooler in the PSU always works and the moment the cooler starts up and the noise increases, it starts to enrage less, but then the overall volume from the PC increases. Bought in August for 8740r. If you need even more reliability, you can take the same one, but with a Gold certificate, but such a PSU will be more than enough for a pre-top system. Otherwise, the PSU is very solid - the PC has an RTX 3080 and an i7-8700k (the latter is slightly overclocked) - enough in full. There are no drawdowns on the power lines, I am attaching screenshots from Aida64. With regards to RGB backlighting - well, there is and is - it’s like the whole Smart RGB series (before that there was a similar model for 550 W). The PSU is located in the lower compartment of the case, with the cooler down, respectively, the only thing that is highlighted is the wall behind the PC. If it annoys someone - pressed the button - the backlight turned off. And yes, there is no software for setting the backlight, it only works in one mode. . Worked for a little over a year. At the end of October 2022, the PC started randomly rebooting. Everything was ok with the cables, I had to reinstall Windows, AIDA and OSST PC was successful (> 40 minutes). After another random reboot, the throttle beeped, and the PC began to reboot cyclically (the time between attempts to boot < 2 seconds). Now I'm sitting with a different power supply, I'll deal with this under warranty

Pros
  • -fully modular (even a cable bag is included) - ease of installation - no drawdowns on power lines -RGB backlight (more like a nice bonus, no more) -relatively long power cables (in the case of Midi tower enough with a margin) - there are ties in the kit (also rather a bonus) - 7 years warranty
Cons
  • - noisy (more on that below) - power cables are not very flexible, which causes a problem with cable management
