Received this before Christmas because our old VCR ate an old tape and broke so we had to buy a new one. It was hard because we have one of these dinosaur TVs. I wanted to visit the family business online but my mum couldn't convince me as I didn't really know who they were so I came here and hunted down one of them and I'm so glad I did. That works great! Yes it's only the second month (it's January) but the other one we had was so light it broke within a year. This one is durable, well made and I trust it will last us a long time. The great thing about this DVD/VCR combo is that when we finally have a flat screen, we can always hook it up to this one. We didn't try to record anything with the VCR as it didn't come with a remote control. To watch a DVD, simply press the play button on the side of the VCR. There are remotes for this brand at Revain, I just need to find the right one then we can record movies and pause if needed.
