When I work 9am to 5pm, I often find that my lower back hurts at the end of the day from sitting in front of the computer all day. No more than an hour's traffic jam on the way home and bad posture will help. This soft-touch lumbar stretcher is great for relieving tension in your back muscles. The spines of the lumbar stretchers knead and massage the back muscles. You have complete control over how deep the spikes penetrate your muscles by adjusting the amount of pressure you lean into the stretcher. Start at the upper back and slowly move down to the lower back. Or, if you prefer, just target an annoying problem area. What I like most about this lumbar support is that it has a flat base. I've tried foam rollers, which should have a similar function, but you often find yourself awkward trying to balance and prevent the roller from rolling away from you (no pun intended). I don't have this problem with the Soft Touch Lumbar Stretch. Simply place the lumbar stretch on a flat surface and stretch your back over it. The guide recommends that you make this easy to use by using it on a soft surface first and only a few minutes at a time. The first time I used it on my couch. I had no discomfort so I stretched my back on it for about 5 minutes. In fact, my back was so tight the first time I used it that I felt a great sense of relief when I felt the spikes press into my back muscles. I use it every day while listening to meditation music to relax after a long and stressful day.
