Great for my daughter's guinea pig! She is only 2 months old but has enough room in bed to grow to her full size. She seems comfortable and safe in it and prefers it to any other home. It also washes very well. It has a detachable part at the bottom that can be washed separately if necessary. Update (3/18): When I washed it the second time, there was an unknown hole in the bottom after I found a pile of stuffing in my washing machine. It was easy to put in fresh stuffing and sew up the hole. I would have liked a more firmly sewn product, but I'm still satisfied and our guinea pig doesn't care.
