So Adafruit did something really stupid and dirty here? Most lithium polymer batteries have a bracket that ensures the positive and negative terminals are in the right place, but they're reversed on this backpack. If you look at other micro sized lipo batteries you will see that the positive and negative values reverse with the power draw of these things. But when it comes to batteries sold by Adafruit, they have this configuration. Now let's assume you haven't fried this board because you can just swap the wires on your battery pack, but that's nothing to worry about. I fried two boards and burned my finger trying to get the battery out of the smoker board. There are standard ports and cabling because it's a bad way to design things that only work with your own products.
