If you must sleep on a plank of wood
color is not important. Comfort is everything. So I bought this puppy as a "Used - Very Good" return from Revain. I use it on my bed to soften the wooden board I sleep on. It doesn't retain excessive heat like polyurethane foam (covered elsewhere). Firm feel but with enough headroom when sleeping on my side. Portable so I can take it in my car to sleep at motels or on the floor at friends house.
