Review on 🧳 Efficient Organization: Eagle Creek Clean Dirty Black – Your Ultimate Travel Companion by Gary Davis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The most useful thing I pack!

Eagle Creek's new "Specter" line is brighter and brighter, making the original line obsolete. In fact, clean dirty cubes are now hard to find except on the internet. I have both Original and Spector and here is my comparison: Original line: - heavier - stronger - U-shape zip on cubes, not cumbersome L-shape - LinkSeal mesh material - waterproof mesh! - Significantly cheaper than the Specter line Specter line: - lighter - less durable - L-shaped zipper so you have to unpack everything to get to the bottom - water-resistant ripstop nylon - fun colors like Tangerine, Beetroot, Strobe Green , White / Strobe etc. - 33%-50% more expensive than the Original Sling. The only reason to buy a Spector lanyard is that the difference in weight is an important factor when hiking, for example. Otherwise, the baseline, while less attractive, is a more practical bet. One more thing, these clean dirty cubes are ONLY included in the original line. Of all the things I own, these are the most useful. You can fill the entire cube with clean clothes at the beginning of the journey and gradually shift some to the dirty side as you progress along the path. The dirty side is made of waterproof LinkSeal mesh material and is well protected. This division has ALL meaning. I have both larger and smaller sizes, the first is for clothes and the second is for underwear. I'm happy with my mixed collection of Original and Spector lines; If something has sharp edges, zippers, or something particularly heavy, I use the original line. For lingerie or more sophisticated pieces I use the Spector line. Also, I try to only fill my backpack with Spector bags because they are on average 50% lighter. Hope that helps!
