Terrible product. Ordered two to make a personalized Christmas gift for my nephew. Both drives failed the same way. Nothing went wrong when transferring small amounts of data. When transferring large amounts of data, the device would hang and the transfer would not complete. The drive then kept disconnecting from my PC while it was plugged in. After that, the disc was no longer writable/editable. The formatting seemed to work (which also forced me to lose all data and start the whole process over (only for it to go through the same way as before)). Several times the drive did not eject successfully and had to be restarted. I'm not sure if the memory size given is inaccurate, but that wouldn't surprise me. The hard drive repair tool also doesn't freeze/quit or say the device is ok and ready to use - no. Waste of time, money and stress in an already stressful holiday. You have to run and leave your house at the last minute during a house arrest order due to COVID to go to Target to pick up an external hard drive and start over at the last minute. Very dissatisfied!
