Review on 🚿 Enhanced Kohler K-11748-KS-NA Rite-Temp Valve with Diverter by Adam Boudreau

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is the valve you want

This valve has everything you want. Advantages: 1. Shut-off for both hot and cold supplies, so the valve can be repaired without shutting down the main valve in the house.2. Built-in diverter to control 2 outputs.3. Maximum temperature setting to avoid burns.4. Easy to understand lever markings (not included on fairing) for hot and cold air. So many valve kits don't have this.5. Both screw and solder terminals are available.6. It's big and well built. Cons: 1. It's big. It fills the entire 3.5 inch space between the walls. So if you have an obstacle, research it before you buy it. 2. He is heavy. Therefore, soldering copper to connectors is time consuming and requires the removal of ALL removable plastic or rubber parts. Those ports with a thing that sticks to the wall plate will almost certainly start a fire. It takes a long time to heat up. I then soldered copper tubing to the ports and added as much copper tubing as I could before installing the whole thing got wall, wall and allowed four standard solder joints to be quickly made in the wall. Even 6" tubing on each port would work.
