Well our Whirlpool dishwasher started to leak intermittently and we discovered it was the gasket. It didn't come with instructions (in fact, it didn't need to) which would have been nice, so I just removed part of the old gasket until I was sure I could install it properly. It took about 10 minutes to install and trim off the excess and now our dishwasher isn't leaking!
