but I included one where he fell asleep mid climb so you can see what the back of his head looked like. Almost always

My son is 2 years old and has autism with sensory processing disorder. He's having a hard time cutting his hair so in front of the tranquilizer I just cut what caught his eye and that was a struggle. I tried electric clippers once, but it was torture for him. The way he was panicking and crying felt really insulting. I promised him "never again" and ordered them from Revain. I didn't think of taking an official "before" photo, but I did snap one of him falling asleep on the climb so you can see what the back of his head looks like. It almost always stuck out like this no matter how much we brushed it, and he really didn't like it when I combed it. The haircut itself was a lengthy process. I used a water bottle to dampen his hair and a fine-toothed comb to lift his hair as I cut it. I would make quick cuts near his head, and from time to time I'd take a strand of hair and cut it off. I gave him his first pot of jam to distract him. He still didn't like the haircut, but we got over it when one adult held his chin and played a video on a tablet while another got his hair cut. We've been through it. He didn't let me do much with the front, but that was our first try. I like the haircut, people often compliment us. Some thoughts. I would like the scissors to be available as a separate item at a lower price and for the left and right scissors to be different colors. My husband is right handed and I am left handed. I bought a right handed set thinking it would cut better but turns out it works. I wish I had a left handed pair, but I see no point in spending another $35 for the whole set. I also noticed that the attachments are numbered but the length is not specified. I replaced my guards with leftover Wahl guards from electric clippers that my kids won't let me use for this reason, which made me wish I could just buy a pair of clippers to begin with. I still give it 5 stars and recommend it to everyone. Even people with neurotypical children say they would feel more confident cutting their hair with soothing clippers.
