When I received these scissors I had trouble putting them together and I thought I had a left handed version. I wanted to try these for my 4 year old son who has autism and has made every hair visit a living hell for him, my partner (and I), as well as co-workers and other clients. I wasn't ready for an immediate inspection because he wouldn't let me get to him with steady shears or scissors (or plant shears if I'm gardening!). The tranquilizers worked. very good for me IF he sleeps late. You…

Easy to use and great cut

I bought these for my 12 year old son who has ADHD. He hates these clippers and has a hard time sitting still. Instead of taking him to cut his hair during the pandemic, I decided to buy these clippers so I could try cutting my hair at home. I was a bit nervous using it because I had tried to cut his hair before and it didn't always work out well. So we usually go somewhere to cut it. Also, he has wavy hair that looks better with a little lengthening. So I was concerned that this would cut his…

  • Bad set

I ordered a pair for my young child who really doesn't want a haircut (it's about sensory processing, among other things). Even in a children's salon with a stylist who works primarily with children with special needs, it's difficult to get a haircut while he's twitching and screaming. So I thought this should be the solution. Correctly? no They cut almost nothing, even though my child let me cut his hair. It's a great idea, but in practice they don't work as well as they do in concept. I even…

Worth the price! Customer service behind the product!

So I just received this pair and have only had the opportunity to use them once. My son has serious sensory issues and while they didn't make my son happy, they definitely made cutting his hair that much easier for us. My only observation is that they aren't much quieter than regular scissors and the sound of metal on metal worries my son. I received an email from Calming Clipper asking what we thought of them. I told them exactly what I said in the first paragraph. He replied that all scissors

  • Some flaws

My son is 2 years old and has autism with sensory processing disorder. He's having a hard time cutting his hair so in front of the tranquilizer I just cut what caught his eye and that was a struggle. I tried electric clippers once, but it was torture for him. The way he was panicking and crying felt really insulting. I promised him "never again" and ordered them from Revain. I didn't think of taking an official "before" photo, but I did snap one of him falling asleep on the climb so you can see

GREAT invention! for hair care

My 3-year-old is scared to death of electric clippers, no matter how quiet they are. I took him to one of the children's barbers, but they can only do a haircut like this with fingers and scissors. That was my answer! It comes with scissors, a cape and a 1/2" to 1-1/2" attachment and it cuts beautifully, very sharp. Yes, it takes a little longer than an electric clipper, but I'd rather spend 10 minutes with these scissors and a happy kid than spend 5 minutes with a screaming kid scared of the…

The best product for touch sensitivity!

We have an 8 year old autistic grandson. His "triggers" are noise (needs to turn volume down on TV/radio/ringtones), vibrations, it goes without saying that the haircut was so traumatic it was a struggle we didn't choose often. Since he insists on wearing a knitted "cap" all year round, we were fine with longer hair. We've always asked when any of us are getting a haircut, and that piqued interest. before screaming, "No! No! Painful." However, as soon as soothing clippers appeared, he wanted to
