What I like about this USB inverter is that 1) the USB ports are all together, not some on the side, some on the front etc. 2) The 2 outputs of the AC inverter become only powered when the on/off switch is on, so if only USB is used, the inverter part will be powered off. 3) All 4 USB ports are 2.4V, so they can deliver maximum power. As an Uber/Lyft driver, I wanted to give my riders all the options they needed. While my car has 2 built in USB ports for the back seat, I wanted to provide as many options as possible when I have 3 people or maybe one person with multiple devices. So a person/people can USB charge a couple of phones and a couple of tablets and still plug their laptops into AC outlets. This is a very well made device, I am impressed with its quality. I connected it to the power port in my console. I installed it with a Command Velcro so I can easily remove and reinstall if needed.
