I mainly use this mic with Sony a6400. I wanted to improve my audio and use my camera in a variety of settings from filming videos to live streaming and teaching online. I really wanted to improve the sound, especially when making calls, and for the price it really delivers. I'm not a fan of the included shock and ended up buying a cheap $10 mount off Amazon to use with mic stands (I'm a musician, I have a lot of these around the house). The ability to work with phantom power or battery is very handy along with the XLR output. While it's a bit unwieldy to use with my a6400 (because I have to use a cable adapter), it's a small compromise in the sound quality this thing produces. Also, my ultimate goal is to upgrade to a camcorder with professional XLR inputs and eventually add an external audio recorder to my setup. The XLR output on the MKE600 ensures this mic keeps changing over the years as my setup changes. I mainly use this mic indoors, in a raw room that reverberate a lot (which isn't ideal), but the sound is always high quality and usable. Nature is just as great (can't wait for the Zeppelin to go with this mic!). Great when mounted overhead and picking up dialogue well. I find it pretty easy for such a directional microphone. If you are looking for other mics in this price range I highly recommend this one!
