I bought a new CPU for an upgrade and discovered too late that the only tubes of thermal paste I had were about 5 years or older. I decided to use the old stuff temporarily and quickly ordered this product with the intention of replacing the old stuff with this MX-5 as soon as possible. My processor was running at 79C (liquid cooled) with old paste from the stress test. I replaced the old, probably expired, Arctic Silver and smeared on this beautiful blue paste. The next stress test was 69C! I understand it was an old arctic silver but I wasn't expecting a 10 degree difference. (And neither should you, unless you're using old thermal paste). I can report that it spreads well and cools efficiently and is a lot better than the 5-8 year old Arctic Silver. I have an old Alienware x51 with i7-6700k @ 4.4GHz and a GTX 1070 in case anyone is interested. At the moment it suits me perfectly.
