I ordered this set of steak knives about a year ago and they are excellent in every way. They are lightweight with plastic handles but are very sharp and easily cut through meat and other foods. My teenage girl recently cut her finger with this cutting a steak, so it stays sharp for a long time and should be handled with care or let the kids handle it. We have washed them in the dishwasher several times and they are still like new, no rust. I wouldn't call them "upscale" given the plastic handle. But if you're looking for a good set of everyday steak knives, you won't find them. These knives also make great housewarming gifts. Wonderful quality and excellent value for money.
