Holds maybe 15 pounds.
I put up some Halloween decorations and so far it's holding up quite well. It looks like it might bend if you hang things that are too heavy and I would suggest putting some sort of guard on the door to avoid scratching the metal. I put some small towels inside to avoid scratching.
