Ipad Mini CaseSo I wanted a padfolio for my shiny new Mini but nothing I saw impressed me. Because I've made cases before, I decided to make my own. I saw the Travelers Notebook Cover A5 size and the Ringke Fusion Transparent Cover and figured those 2 would be suitable for what I wanted. I also had several Emshoi 8.2"x 5.7" graph paper notebooks I wanted to incorporate into my Frankenstein creation.The Ringke cover worked for me because of the area to store my pencil and its minimal, compact size. On the back of the cover were 3 feet and a raised lip for the camera. These were sanded flat so the cover would adhere properly to the Notebook cover. I also scuffed up the back so it would adhere to the leather notebook cover better. For the leather cover, I added a piece of reinforcing cardboard to each side to stiffen it up just a bit. So a little E6000 clear adhesive and it all came together. Please note the E6000 is toxic in confined quarters so use it in an open, well ventilated area. Once everything was glued together, I gave it 3 days to set.The Travelers Notebook cover looks extremely durable and has a 1st class feel to it. It also has space for my oversized tactical pen so when I need to make handwritten notes in my journal, its right there. My Mini snaps in and out of the Ringke cover so I can use the device in other cases or with no case. Also the elastic band comes in super handy and keeps everything nice and tightly closed. I chose the Travelers cover mainly because of its thickness. It handles the Mini, the notebook, envelopes, folded paper and misc stuff with no issues.The Ringke cover is perfect for the Mini. Adds almost no extra bulk and again, space for the pencil. I like it so much I ordered a second one and just use it when I am on the Mini at home. I opted for the clear one because I've added a carbon fiber skin to the back of the Mini.Both the Travelers Notebook Cover and Ringke Cover have exceeded my expectations and both are highly recommended.
