light but warm. I would definitely only use this as a liner if you have pets. I laid mine on the bed while waiting for the bedspread to arrive. The finish has a microporous surface that statically attracts fur. It was hard to just brush it off (almost impossible). I had to use a vacuum to remove it. It would also be nice if it had loops in the corners to tie it to the lid. I don't want to get it stuck in the duvet cover loops.
