This was my first time buying a duvet and I knew those pathetic ties on the inside of the duvet cover wouldn't hold the pad. I was hesitant to get "Down Donuts" or these and ended up with these hoping they would hold up better. Definitely a good choice. The magnet is strong and holds tight. Think of security sensors on clothing. The fabric buttons are beautiful to look at. I got nervous when people said the spine would come off and scratch them, so I just put two on the top corners just in case, and the rest on the sides and bottom edges. So far I haven't had any problems with the breakup. The only caution I have is to make sure the reverse is fully seated in the needle. I believe this is something that people have struggled with due to the "back popping" issue. After checking them all, one still came out after installation, but that's pure user error. The pin is not fully seated. All in all very recommendable.
