BUT when I had to take them off to wash the sheets I noticed that near our heads where we continue to pull the cover and sheets there were tears in 3 of the 4 pins I had put in. I've found that if you just try to pull the pin straight out it won't come loose, you have to play with the pin a bit and wiggle it sideways a bit and it will come loose with no problem.
