This clip is so strong it can be difficult to remove. At first I had a problem removing it with the included magnet tool. I've found that if you just try to pull the pin straight out it won't come loose, you have to play with the pin a bit and wiggle it sideways a bit and it will come loose with no problem. The needle's bulkiness is uncomfortable, but it does the job. You have to think about where to put it as it can tear your quilt or comforter if you pull on it too hard. He made a hole in my expensive duvet. I ended up sewing small loops onto the duvet using a strip of fabric and threading the needles through the loops so they didn't touch my duvet and then through the double-sided seam of the duvet cover so the needle went through the double layer and didn't tear like that easy. So far this seems to have done the trick.
