Many other back braces are stifling hot. It's the nature of adding extra layers. But it's summer now and ventilation is super important for comfort. This brace delivers in that department. It allows air flow while still providing support. I wear a stretchy tank top underneath it because I don't think it would be comfortable rubbing directly on the skin. I have a short torso and although I can sit in it, I feel like this brace is more designed for standing. It's not very comfortable in a sitting position. Even standing I find it doesn't slide around or up and down like some other braces can. And it provides good support.
