Works great - when empty

I am giving two stars because the build quality is good. It's easy to attach/detach and looks like it will hold up to everyday use. I was about to do a 39 mile trip and decided to take this article with me for her first trip. My wife advised me to bring my old bag "just in case" and I'm very glad I did. After hooking that up and loading my water bottles (four 32-ounce bottles, which by the way don't even come close to filling side pockets) and a couple of trail handlebars, I grabbed my bike and cruised around the parking lot. IMMEDIATELY the bag got stuck in my knitting needles. I jumped down and pulled it out, but when I look at it, it's obvious this is going to happen again and again. The design of the bag means that if you put weight or bulk in the side pockets it will sag and get caught in the wheel. There is no way to stabilize or prevent this. This is on a Trek hybrid bike; It's not like I'm doing any esoteric commissioned work. To comment on the rest of the design, the organization is pretty good. There is plenty of space in the pockets to store things like batteries or groceries. Velcro around the large pocket isn't particularly helpful, but technically it works. And as mentioned above, the build quality is good, except for the part where it gets stuck in the spokes. Whether you are looking for a pure show bag or a very light load like a phone this is the one for you.
