I have used major competitor toothbrushes for a very long time. I've always felt they were overpriced, but I couldn't dispute the results. I decided to give it a try because it was about a quarter the price of an equivalent "major competitor brand" and had great reviews. When I opened it, I immediately noticed that it was significantly lighter than the "big brand competitor". When I used it, it also lacked the "major brand competitor" movement. The Aquasonic brightening settings are arguably just as effective as the sensitivity settings of the 'brand's main competitor'. If you use your "main brand competitor" in a setting other than sensitive, you won't like this brush. You should treat it like a regular toothbrush, which vibrates, as opposed to the 'brand's big competitor', where you just move the brush slowly across the surface of your teeth.
