Review on 🎵 Dayton Audio HTA100BT Bluetooth Hybrid Tube Amplifier with USB, Aux, Phono Inputs, Sub Out - 100W by Andrea Washington

need work on Home Audio

Cool design and nice sound, but as mentioned the fan noise is too loud even in a big enough room. This is odd because other amps with very similar designs (like the various Rockville BlueTube models) don't have a fan. In fact, I've never owned an amp with a fan, and this one kicks in just after you start playing something. It turns off between tracks and then restarts when the next track starts playing. It's distracting. I also had problems with selecting inputs. It would often switch to the BT input on its own in the middle of a track, even if no BT devices were trying to connect to it. So he just suddenly fell silent. I've never been able to get this thing to acknowledge inputs that appear under BT in the LED column to the left of the front panel display, and you can't directly select anything manually as LEDs aren't really buttons. So this is only possible with the remote control, which can be very frustrating when she simply refuses to take commands. I gave up. As said, 100BT needs work.
