How good is his weakest link

Nice, heavy, nice size. So why did they use such a cheap connection at the top? It was so weak that on the first pull on the chain, one of them stretched, opened, and dropped the crystal. The second started to stretch but didn't open up all the way, although a few more pulls and it certainly would have opened up. I took a pair of pliers to really squeeze and tighten them, the other I had to replace with the tiny key loop I had. Not too flashy, but it definitely shows he was skilled. So I gave it 3 stars because after the repair it works great and looks great (except for one compressed ring and one mismatched ring) but I didn't have to repair them from the new packaging. Would have given 5 stars if it hadn't fallen apart on first use.
