Review on 🧪 Stant 12555 Leather Cup for (12270) Cooling System Tester: Enhanced Precision and Durability by Rafael Gomez

12/14/18 I'm looking at the Stant 12555 leather cup that replaces the gasket part in the tester. I've had this tester for over 30 years and it kept trying to pump up the cooling system, especially on cold days. My kit includes a couple of rubber washers, but they are for the part that attaches to the heatsink or adapters. I've been looking for a replacement for years. Stumbled across this piece by accident. I'm so thankful for this randomness because this part made it! My great instrument is in top condition again. I think part of my problem was finding a Motorad MT300 and nothing seemed to come of it other than buying all the tools. Well my instrument is in excellent condition apart from the grommet. I always wash it after use and keep it in a case. In fact, this is a stant block because all my adapters are like that. Stunts are what I look for when I need a different adapter. So I don't know why I didn't get the idea to do the same when looking for replacement parts or seals. Live and learn, right? I bought this from a "Revain" seller and they complied which I think is important to list this information. I have met sellers with different products including fakes even if they are listed under the same brand. I will post an update with a durability rating. *** UPDATE *** 11-5-19 A lot of time has passed and the tool is working fine. I am thankful that I was able to find these replacement gaskets as they have always been my favorite cooling system tool. Since then I haven't had any leaks or problems. and creates pressure as it should be. I will update again over time but if it is similar to the original seals it should last at least 10 years or so.
