I took the whole contraption outside onto my deck, placed it next to the hummingbird feeder, and kept walking away to see how far the remote worked. To my amazement, I can sit indoors at the kitchen table, watch the hummingbirds and record video as they stand outside through a (closed) window about 20 feet from me.
