Review on πŸ”Œ Bluelounge Pixi Small Cable Organizer - Black/Grey Color by Stacey Wallace

Just place a small bungee cord with locking channel

One thing I'm adamant about is cord management. Growing up in video production taught me the importance of routing lighting cords and spooling BNC cords and extension cords properly. If you have ever encountered such installations, you will understand what I am talking about. A video production studio has literally hundreds of cables scattered around, and you must be ready to throw out a new cable at any time or you're wasting valuable time and money. Many grippers use different types of cable wraps to manage their cables. I even knew an old man who used just a plain piece of string to tie the power cords of his flashlights together. I think I've personally used everything from cable ties to rubber bands to keep cables organized. BlueLounge recently launched a product called Pixi that eliminates the need for other "temporary" zip ties. Pixi is a small elastic cord with a fastening channel at one end. To use, simply slide the bungee through the locking channel and pull tight over the cable. This will keep your cables nice and organized. Pixi comes in three sizes: small, medium and large. The little ones are great for tying up cables or even bread bags. The average pixi is much longer and thicker. It's recommended to be used for things like stereos or even garden hoses. The big pixi is big enough to roll up a yoga mat on. When I first got my pixis I immediately used them to tie the power cords for our lighting in our photo studio. We installed them in a multipurpose room and I don't like having cords dangling around when not in use. In front of Pixi, I rolled them up and hung them on one of the thumbscrews on the lighting stand. Unfortunately, this had the unfortunate side effect of many crashes. Pixie has arrived. With Pixi, I was able to roll up the cord the same way and hang it on a lighting stand to keep it from falling and making a mess. ties or zippers. They're reliable, safe, and affordable.” This product was received for free or at a discount in exchange for my review.
