I keep some of these in tool boxes to hold screws and other small parts of things I temporarily remove or install; they work fine for that. They're big enough to hold a few pieces, small enough that I can reach them without knocking over the mug, and the rounded edge makes them sturdy enough that they won't collapse if you hit them a bit in the toolbox. one piece.
