Bought a fox, rabbit and sewing kit. And I give all 5 stars. These are great sets. I bought a sewing tutorial kit for my 8 year old son (who already knows how to use a sewing machine due to after school, but has no real experience with hand sewing). Sew). This is a really nice set with reusable patterns and an instruction booklet for additional projects beyond the materials included in the set. this. This is not a set that you would use up. A book and patterns are always useful. But let's move on to the part of the review that I hope will be the most useful. In particular, can you expand the age range boundaries (which is one of the main reasons I tend to read toy reviews). Well I bought the fox and rabbit sets for my 4 year old and 1 month old daughter. I had to help with the fitting but she was able to do the basic sewing herself. The kit uses a blunt plastic needle with pre-punched holes in the felt. It wasn't much more difficult than sewing cards, which are a common toy for preschoolers. She is very proud that she made her own toy. She really did the stitches with little or no help. The finished product is so adorable I thought she might make something similar as a gift for Grandma. It has that "cute" appeal that could fit perfectly on a shelf full of adult kitsch/decor.
