Before buying I read positive and negative reviews and decided to buy because (a) it was cheaper than the competition , (b) an outsider and (c) looking cool. After several attempts to get it working I gave up and sent it back. My main complaints were: - the extreme difficulty of syncing with my Nexus 4 with the latest Android version. I literally spent 30 minutes turning Bluetooth on and off by pressing a button on the Sphere and sometimes gave up. Why does it have to be so hard? That's a big problem as the Orb doesn't have a screen, so the only way I can know if I'm close to my daily goal is to sync with my phone. Inaccuracy in measuring steps. I bought a cheap pedometer with a screen and wore it on one side of my thigh and the Orb on the other for a few days. Previously, the difference was several thousand steps (around 6,000 on a cheap and 3,000 on an Orb). Unacceptable. On other days the difference was smaller, but I didn't want to worry about not hitting my 10,000 health goal just because of a faulty device. Another issue that hasn't become the deciding factor is ease of setup. I tried doing it through the app following the instructions and what a pain it was. At first he refused to accept the device code. After about an hour of trying, I succeeded. Then he got stuck on the wrong state for the address, and no matter what I did, he wouldn't choose Ohio. Then he marked me as male, and no amount of effort could convince the stupid drop-down list otherwise. I've never seen this before - you select an option from a drop down menu and it stubbornly goes back to something else over and over again. The same goes for a few other things when I set up my profile through the app. Everything turned out to be easily done through the website, but for some reason this was not mentioned in the instructions. On the plus side, the support was great and my emails were answered fairly quickly. have since bought a slightly more expensive competitor product that was extremely easy to use and set up. I really want this company to be successful and was debating whether or not to give a negative review. In the end, I decided that they should be aware of the numerous issues with their product. I hope they learn from their mistakes and from their competitors.
