In a household with a small child of around 3 years the Switch would not stay safe in a standard carrying case. I wouldn't even trust myself - a little nudge or tug on the wire and the whole system can fly out and crash to the ground. It definitely doesn't snap into the main body. This wall mount solved all my fears of accidentally damaging the Switch. It is bolted in up to 6 points, making it unlikely to be accidentally pulled out of the wall. I could place it as high as needed to keep it out of the reach of little ones. A built-in spirit level facilitated direct assembly and the screws were driven directly into the wall with a standard screwdriver.
