Loofah shouldn't get moldy as it's a herbal product so I'm so glad I found these sponges and saw how they work. So far they are doing an excellent cleaning job and only time will tell if they will withstand the mildew effect. No matter how well I rinsed and wrung regular cleaning sponges, they kept getting moldy long before they'd exhausted their effectiveness. When dry, they feel a bit bulky - maybe too wide to fit comfortably in your hand. -- but they soften once they get wet, and that's not a problem until the next time you use them. So far, so good!
