I've been using this water pump for 8 months now. I wanted to wait until he'd been in the car for some time to check. I replaced the water pump on my 2000 Jeep TJ 4.0 i6. Despite being a fraction of the cost of the OEM equivalent, it works flawlessly with no leaks. I don't drive the Jeep very intensively as it's an everyday vehicle, but I've driven it a few times over the weekend and haven't had any problems. I ended up using RTV instead of paper spacers. Thin bead around the mating surface (by thin I mean don't apply, run your finger over the RTV around the mating surface), lightly tighten the pump and let it sit for an hour, then torque to specification. You should see a small amount of RTV leak around the pump. Keep the RTV away from the pump fan entry point. I don't want these things getting into your cooling system. So far there are no problems.
