If I had to rate this item specifically for my 6 year old it would be 5 stars. However, my 8 year old is a little uncomfortable with this product. My 8 year old still wears it and it's more comfortable than traditional face masks, it's tighter than I would have liked. With that said, I've bought a few different baby alligators and this theme looks like it's making a comeback. I feel like a junior sized alligator is a must have for the teenage age group. Also as a side note. My 8 year old is not a big baby, he is 50% on the growth chart for his age group. Hope that helps.
