I have had a Deuter backpack for many years so I know Deuter makes quality products. I had a blister from Outdoor Products for a while but the water always tasted bad, the mouthpiece kept leaking and was difficult to clean and maintain. The Deuter bladder fixes all of that. Not only is it easy to fill and clean, but the valve is designed to close. You can also put on a cap to protect the flap from dust when you put the backpack down. There is no strange taste even at the first use. It's well designed so I don't have to think about how to use it and I don't have to worry about taking it with me when I travel.
