Review on Arachnid Cricket Pro 800 Electronic Dartboard: Enhanced Durability and Playability with NylonTough Segments, Micro-thin Dividers, and Reduced Bounce-outs by Joshua Garris

For the price it should work better

Pros: The board is very solid and easy to install. I like that it shows scores and player standings (that's why I bought 800), but it's limited to showing scores/results for only 4 players at a time, so it's difficult to play a competitive game with more than 4 players. Not critical, but since I have a family of five, one person always comes along. We can't see their score(s) when it's our turn and they can't see ours. Cons: Sectors seemed to require a lot of pressure to activate the hit, so my lighter darts always went unregistered and had to be tapped at the end of a round. This reduces the ease of tracking grades/scores on the board. The main reason I returned this board was the horns. The way they programmed the dart call is unsatisfying and even a little annoying. When you throw a dart, a hit is registered, showing the number hit and additional information, e.g. whether the number is open, whether the number is closed, etc. If you throw a second dart while he's talking (this happens a lot), expect him to call a new strike and give up the old one. instead it completes the transmission of information about the first dart and does not even confirm the second dart. So if your second dart was the last, you are left with no beeps for the next action, or if the board is preventing you from removing a dart (you may have missed something so only two darts were registered). I've played many machines, my last being the Arachnid 650 and the sound on ALL takes precedence over the last dart registered. I think it was a big mistake that I couldn't help but notice.
