Forehead/ear canal thermometer FC-IR-100

Pro: Arrived surprisingly quickly. This is the second device I've bought, the same model. This one has a brighter LED display with a quieter beep, the first device has a darker display and a louder beep. These variances may be the reason why these thermometers cost half as much as other vendors. These issues are not a deal breaker to me, just an observation. - reads very fast, good price from this seller after discount - beep is not unpleasant like some - LED display is big enough, letters/numbers/symbols are easy to read, backlight is gray at its faintest - read page 6, paragraph 6, "How to Use Thermometer" and page 8, point 9, "Adjust Temperature Compensation" in case your device needs to be recalibrated. Try to determine if it is "no contact" or "contact and side-to-side movement" - easy to hold; The surface of the plastic is smooth, can be slightly textured and feels almost slippery. The case is curved but the display shows on a flat surface as it should, my other thermometer rolls on its side like a good dog - the ear canal display bam/bam is straight ahead. Reading the forehead requires more effort, see below. The manufacturer has an official and useful website to let you know that there is no counterfeit hardware and design. The kit includes two batteries, a cloth storage bag and a 14-page instruction manual in English only. Made in China. Also available as a separate box with 200 ear probe covers: perfect fit, tight fit, no negative effects on the readings (see picture). The lids seem to be universal, don't worry, most ads mention brown. Cons: - Not the easiest thermometer I've ever had, see other thoughts below, some people rightly think it's too much hassle. I'm debating whether to keep or return. The star rating may also increase after prolonged testing. โ€“ I want it to be easy to use, record pace at least once a day, aim is twice, from the end of February. this or understand if complaints/problems are user error. It's a little more tiring for a person trying to read their own steps, but some tests can make it a chore over time. I stood in front of the mirror several times to see what was happening. At this point I think that with the changes this device will be easier to use if you are recording someone else's temperature. First, I'm getting stable ear and forehead temp readings, so accuracy isn't my issue. But sometimes I have to press the probe to the skin, move it back and forth (as described on page 6, point 6), sometimes I can hold it away from my forehead, take measurements and it will record. Or measure the temperature in one position, take your finger off the scan button but the temperature disappears from the screen so I have to use the memory function to see the last reading. If you measure the temperature by constantly pressing the button and moving the sensor away from your head, you can view it in real time. The probe must detect when the device is moving away from the skin and stop calculating to avoid reading errors, but it must still lock and remain in view for a few seconds.
