Pretty much a mid 2010 unibody Macbook replacement. My other original failed and caused some damage to the computer. pixelate my screen. I should have fixed the problem much sooner, but I thought it was dust inside the computer. Hopefully it will last longer than the original and my computer will keep me happy for at least a year and a half. (started 1.5 years ago). EDIT: I bought this product 2 years ago and just bought a replacement. I worked at a steady 6000rpm almost every day for 2 years, about 16 hours a day before it stopped bothering me. Pretty good lifespan. At standard fan speed, it can last more than 5 years.
