Overall this is a great bed that has never broken in the month and a half we've had it. The cover washes well and is very easy to put on and take off! However, my rescuer is very concerned about the separation and as we leave, accidents happen in his kennel. We bought this bed almost entirely because it is said to be waterproof. However, a month and a half after the start of use, mold had already formed on the pad under the "waterproof” cover. We've made sure to always take the bed out after accidents and wash the liner to prevent moisture build-up, but apparently his potty is too good. If your dog is 100% accident free, he'll love it, especially when he's in pain. hips. However, if your dog is older or, like mine, has severe separation issues that result in a loss of bladder control, this bed is not for you.
