Heart Wrap: Power & Hand Tools

Media failed to load. I grew up with Craftsman wrenches. Or rather, I grew up stealing my dad's Craftsman wrenches. I stole them, lost them (often in the yard where he "found" them with a lawnmower), and he yelled at me. I still stole them. And since he was a mechanic for foreign cars, we always had a metric. As strange as it may sound, I was so excited and nostalgic when I bought my own set of Craftsman metric wrenches. Maybe my own son would steal them. Full circle and such. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed with a product in my life. These are NOT the keys I grew up with. Everything started well enough. The presentation is beautiful. The thing was reasonable. From there it went down the hill. The quality is just disgusting. Everyone feels differently. Some have the finish only 1/2 done. Everything is uneven. I just don't feel comfortable in my hand. It's worse up close. There are burrs everywhere, uneven grinding on the heads (see video and photo). The tips of the jaws are not clean and straight. When you buy new instruments, you want them to be flawless first. YOU want to be the one to tag them. Unfortunately they are of the quality you would see in a hardware store dumpster. I am very sad about that.
