I am an official engineering student and inventor, designer and designer. They're great for the gym and other equipment, but the self-centering feature is my only complaint. A set screw can and should be added to lock the bearings in place once they are at the correct angle. Now I can and will add it myself, but some already seem to have a locking mechanism until you put a lot of force on them, and that's just the tight fit some come from the factory with. I played around with the pin sticking out for correct insertion direction and soon found it wasn't holding the hard ones. Aside from that one missing feature, I've loaded them at awkward angles at 100lbs per pair and they work great. While it's not a lot of weight, the angle and leverage applied to the force is unusual for use. I also have them with 1 inch bore and 5/8 inch bore. I trust them as a fixed axle on shop tools but would be skeptical about installing them on a quad with 4 wheel independent suspension. If I'm hurling a serious weight well past the local "Chad Bro" at the gym, let's see what they can handle.
