I was concerned that this leg might not fit my car model but it fit without any problems. I'm amazed at how much easier it is to quilt with this foot (as opposed to the plastic foot that came with my machine). I'm new to fmq'ing and had nothing to compare the plastic leg to. But now that I've used the open metal it's a lot easier for me. The plastic leg made it difficult to see things - the plastic covered/distorted the area I was trying to see. Metallic makes things much more visible. Also, the metal leg "slides" across the fabric, while the plastic leg always felt like it was "grabbing" the fabric, creating a "pull" motion. I am absolutely delighted with this product.
