I don't use this filler alone, I mix it with a simple natural filler to add some flavor and still stay healthy. I'm not sure if cats will like the fact that it's long and thin - almost the texture/consistency of raw vermicelli? In any case, our cat has had urinary problems in the past and we have had natural litters ever since. I prefer mild scents as I know cats don't like strong smelling litter. Our cat litter is scooped up daily and we add some to add volume and a slightly deodorizing quality. I like it and it's not expensive.
