Review on Steve Jackson Games SJG 131313 by Clay Ijaz

Great game for kids! Serious.

What a great game! I have an 8 year old who is just getting into horror movies. She wanted this game because of the zombies in the foreground, but as soon as we started playing the game she fell in love with it. This is a simple game with simple rules that can be played quickly. You get brains (points) and if you get shot three times you get none for that round. All other dice can be re-rolled. Whoever reaches the required number of points first wins. I believe the instructions say 13 or 14 points in first person, but my daughter and I adjusted this slightly to a 30-50 point game when we were really in the mood to play. I would recommend this to all parents with children over 5 years old. It's a great counting tool. The zombie art on the front is as graphic as the game gets. The dice have an image of a brain, an image of an explosion, and an image of footprints. You could probably cover the cup they're in (and have your kid draw on the cup) and tell your kids the brain pictures are cotton candy or something. My daughter and I called the brain "goggles", the shotguns "HITS" and the footprints "runners". Let your child decide what the shape of the brain looks like if you think the word "brain" is too obvious for them. My daughter and I had hours of fun with this time killer.
