I have been using this brand for many years to get clean and crystal clear aquarium water. It works very quickly and collects debris and debris in the filament in the filter, collecting debris that helps reduce bacteria and the substance that houses bacteria. I take out the charcoal and filter thread and wash them before doing the following. After about 2 hours I replace the charcoal and regular yarn with plain yarn which I use for about 2 hours. Then I carefully remove this thread, because caked dirt or garbage has accumulated in it, as a result of which the water has become cloudy. I wash this thread thoroughly and let it dry and use this thread for the next time I need it. A word of caution when using any type of treatment for anything used in the water. I think that like many procedures, this changes the pH. Please check your PH before use. If the water is neutral or in the range of 6 to 7 on the pH scale, this treatment can cause the water to become very ACIDIC. If this is the case, replace flossing and charcoal after treatment and recheck pH one hour after using flossing and charcoal. If necessary, slowly adjust the pH at this point to the level required for your aquarium. Any treatment or additive should be used with caution and, as always, I recommend carefully checking the pH after each treatment. cleans the water, but does not replace a water change that may be necessary. If the water in the aquarium keeps getting cloudy, then something else is needed.
